Design of a pork cold chain logistics system based on RFID and WSN technologies

Abstract: Against the backdrop of consumers' increasing demands for food safety and quality, and addressing issues in the pork cold chain logistics such as inadequate temperature control and traceability difficulties, a cold chain logistics system was designed based on wireless sensor network (WSN) and radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies. The system could not only monitor pig farming information and the location of pork during transportation in real-time, but also precisely regulate environmental parameters and transportation routes according to cold chain standards, thereby achieving automated control and efficient management throughout the entire pork cold chain transportation process.
