Research Development of the Control of Sweetpotato Weevil

Abstract

Abstract: Sweetpotato weevil （Cylas formiarius） is the most serious pest of sweetpotato in south and middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River in China. The pest with the greatest influence on the quality and yield of sweetpotato. In this paper,the distribution,origin,morphological characteristics,living habits,damage characteristics and control methods of sweetpotato weevil were reviewed, in order to provide reference for the future research and control of sweet potato weevil.
