Practices, Problems and Policies of Climate-smart Agriculture in China

Abstract: Climate smart agriculture is a guiding method for the transformation of agricultural systems in the context of climate change. It aims to achieve the three goals of adapting to climate change, increasing agricultural production, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. A lot of practice and research have been carried out in many countries. As a big agricultural country and a leading practicing country in climate smart agriculture, China has carried out a series of practical activities to deal with climate change.In order to promote the rapid development of climate-smart agriculture in China, this paper summarized the current status of practice of climate-smart agricultural in China and the climate response measures implemented in recent years, and pointed out the existing problems, and finally put forward policy suggestions.
