Germplasm Status of Apis cerana cerana in Yichang Area of Hubei Province

Abstract: The Yichang area with beekeeping tradition was selected as the research area. The population characteristics and diversity of the Apis cerana cerana were investigated based on morphological genetics. It is found that the 4 principal components of the honeybee can reflect the amount of information of the morphological characteristics of the worker bee, and the multiple morphological indexes also reflect the contribution to the variation among the population. 9 samples of the main distribution area of A. cerana cerana in the hilly and hilly areas of Yichang, Hubei, were measured and analyzed. The morphological markers showed that the A. cerana cerana in the Yichang area of Hubei was rich in genetic diversity.
