Abstract: The drying and dehydration experiments and the optimum moisture content of Artemisia annua L. seeds were studied. The effects of dehydration methods and water content on seed germination of A. annua L. were discussed. The results showed that the oven drying dehydration was the fastest, but great influence on seed germination rate, dryer dehydration was the most appropriate way;when the water content was 9.34% in different storage stages, the seed germination rate was high, which was the most suitable water content for cold preservation. Dehydration and moisture is the main factor affecting the seed of A. annua L. storage.

Key words: Artemisia annua L., dehydration and drying, water content, germination rate
