Abstract: The occurrence dynamics of root-knot nematode and its relationship with soil environment were investigated in Enshi tobacco growing areas. The results showed that the tobacco plants began to be damaged by root-knot nematodes 30 d after transplanting, and the incidence and disease index gradually increased until the harvest of tobacco leaves were over. At the same time, the relationship between root-knot nematode and soil water content, soil pH and soil temperature were studied. During the growth and development of tobacco plants, the incidence and disease index of root-knot nematode showed a significant negative correlation with soil water content, and the correlation coefficients were -0.728 and -0.667,respectively; There was a significant positive correlation with soil temperature, the correlation coefficients were 0.593 and 0.536,respectively; There was no significant correlation with soil pH. However, the number of eggs and second instar larvae had no correlation with soil water content, soil pH and soil temperature.
