The Toxicity, Field Control Efficacy of Two Biological Preparations of Spinosad to Thrips palmi Karny(Thysanoptera:Thripidae)

Abstract: The toxicity and field control efficacy of two biological preparations of Spinosad to Thrips palmi Karny were studied.Laboratory bioassay demonstrated that two biological preparations of spinosad had higher toxicity to T. palmi,with LC50 of 0.576 mg/L and 0.983 mg/L for 48 h,respectively. Field trial showed that the control efficacy of 5% spinosad SC was better to T. palmi,it was above 79% after application for 1 to 14 days,and the highest after 3 days,which was above 90%,followed by 45% spinosad DG,the control efficacy above 69% after application for 1 to 14 days,and the highest after 3 days,which was above 80%.
