Abstract: Cultivation management measures will affect the accumulation of organic carbon and nitrogen nutrients in the soil of rice-wheat rotation system, and then affect the yield of rice and wheat. The latest research results in this field were reviewed, and the soil tillage, rice and wheat planting and water and nitrogen management methods which affected soil organic carbon and nitrogen accumulation and rice and wheat yield in rice-wheat rotation system were analyzed in detail, and the relevant suggestions for maintaining the soil fertility and increasing the yield of rice and wheat in rice-wheat rotation system were put forward, in order to provide certain theoretical guidance for rice and wheat production in our country.

Key words: rice-wheat rotation, cultivation practice, water and nitrogen management practice, organic carbon, nitrogen
