Effects Analysis of Spinning Process Parameters on B[a]P in Cigarette Mainstream Smoke

Abstract

Abstract: A mathematical model and model analysis were applied to investigate the influence of cigarette spinning process factors on B[a]P yield in cigarette mainstream smoke, including cutting width（X₁）, HT working steam pressure（X₂）, air temperature（X₃）, hot air damper opening degree（X₄）, the temperature of the tube wall（X₅） and cylinder speed（X₆）. The single factor effect, double factor effect and marginal effect were analyzed. The results showed that, the order of the effect of six factors on the B[a]P yield was：X₃>X₁>X₅>X₆>X₄>X₂; the two obvious interacting factor pairs were：X₃ and X₅、 X₄ and X₆、X₅ and X₆;The most significant effect is X₃ on cigarette mainstream smoke of B[a]P, and with the increase of X₃,B[a]P release in mainstream smoke decreased significantly.
