Research on the Basic Biology of Yunnanilus caohaiensis

Abstract

Abstract: In July 2016 and March 2017,408 Yunnanilus caohaiensis were collected for the initial research of basic biology in the Caohai National Nature Reserve which maintain a relatively good water quality of Yangguan Mountain. The results showed that the age of the Y. caohaiensis was 0⁺~5 years old,and the proportion of 0⁺~2 age was larger,which was the dominant age group. The absolute fecundity of the Y. caohaiensis is 197,and the average fecundity is 142. The relative fecundity is 102 grains each gram and the average relative fecundity is 99 grains each gram. The male and female ratio of Y. caohaiensis is approximately equal to 1∶5. In order to protect the diversity of fish species in Caohai,the protection of Y. caohaiensis should be strengthened.
