Abstract: Genetically modified(GM) science is not a one-way top-down knowledge transfer from professionals to the public. Different people have different degrees of acceptance of genetically modified science. The GM science questionnaire surveyed in different regions and ages in Hubei Province in 2018 is analyzed to explore the differences in the effectiveness of genetically modified science in different populations. The results show that the science effectiveness of different populations is different. Age, education level, region and other factors are factors that affect people's cognition. It indicates that different popular science methods should be selected for different groups of people, and it is urgent to establish two-way communication and interaction between scientists and the public.
