Study on extraction method of organic selenium from Ziyang selenium-enriched tea in southern Shaanxi

Abstract: A method for extracting organic selenium from Ziyang selenium-rich tea in Ankang was established. Using the principle of similar solubility, ethanol, ethyl acetate and cyclohexane were selected to extract organic selenium from tea. It was concluded that when pH was 7, ethanol reflux method was the best method for extracting organic selenium. The extraction process was optimized by L9(34) orthogonal test, and the optimum extraction conditions were determined. The results showed that with 60% ethanol, 70 degree temperature, solid-liquid ratio of 1∶19(g/mL), heating reflux extraction time of 2 hours, organic selenium extraction in tea is the best.
