Abstract: In order to improve the cutting propagation efficiency of the Ficus religiosa L., using the half lignified branches of Ficus religiosa L. as the propagating material, rooting effects has been studied after treatment of different IBA concentration and processing time under hydroponic conditions. The results show that the branches can take root after hydroponic 10~20 days under 30 ℃ condition. One leaf treatment can significantly increase the rooting rate, total rooting number and rooting width of Ficus religiosa L. IBA treatment can shorten rooting time and improve rooting rate. The interaction between IBA concentration and treatment time had significant effects on rooting rate and maximum root length, the effect of IBA concentration on the rooting rate and rooting number were significant higher than the treatment time. The optimum concentration of IBA was 100 mg/L, the optimum treatment time was 2 hours.
