Abstract: This study constructs the satisfaction evaluation index system from six aspects of urban characteristics, urban transportation, urban public facilities, urban public services, urban livable environment and urban public security, carries out questionnaire survey, selects typical cities（counties） in southern and northern Xinjiang for sample analysis, and uses factor analysis method to comprehensively evaluate the livable satisfaction of cities in Xinjiang. The results showed that the overall satisfaction of residents to urban livability was general, in which the residents’ satisfaction with urban livable environment and urban public security were higher, while that of urban infrastructure and urban public management were relatively low, and that of urban transportation was the lowest. Finally, the corresponding measures to improve the livability of the city are put forward.
