Abstract: R022 was used as the receptor parent and GD7 was used as the donor parent to pyramid 4 resistance genes Pi1,Pi2,Bph14 and Bph15 into R650 by molecular marker-assisted selection (MAS).Resistance identification demonstrated that R650 performed resistance to rice blast and brown planthopper.Jufeng 2A/R650,Tianfeng A/R650 and Neixiang 5A/R50,the three hybrid combinations with R650 as restorer line and three sterile lines, performed moderately resistance or moderately susceptible to rice blast and moderately resistance to brown planthopper.Field trial data demonstrated that yields of these three hybrid combinations were higher than or equal to the control hybrid combinations of Jufeng 2A/R022,Tianfeng A/R022,Neixiang 5A/R022 with R022 as recurrent parent under natural field conditions. The combination Jufengyou 650 (Jufeng 2A/R650) was authorized by Hubei Crop Variety Examination and Approving Committee in 2019.
