Abstract: Taking the Yicheng apple orchard as an example to discuss spatial distribution characteristics of soil fertility for protective area of agro-product geographical indications. 300 soil samples were collected from protective area. Twelve indicators of soil fertility and integrated fertility index can be evaluated and distributed by employing SPSS 22.0 and ArcGIS, including total N, available N, available P, available K, organic matter, available S, available Cu, available Zn, available Fe, available Mn, available B, available Mo. The coefficient of variation as follows: Available S(2.08%)<available Mn(6.51%)<available Cu(9.66%)<available Zn(10.00%)<available Fe(13.89%)< available B(15.93%)<available Mo(19.16%)<organic matter(26.87%)<total N(37.58%)<available N(40.92%)<available K(48.82%)<available P(110.39%). The integrated fertility index had been divided into five levels, ranging from 0.23 to 0.72, which dominated by 3th level(from 0.35 to 0.40) and 4th level(from 0.30 to 0.35), accounting for 35.12% and 28.43%, respectively.

Key words: Yicheng apple, spatial distribution, integrated fertility index, the level of soil fertility
