Abstract: Taking Xinjiang as the research area, the DEA-Malmquist exponential quadratic decomposition model and GIS spatial method are selected to analyze the time variation, spatial characteristics and the trajectory of tourism gravity center migration of 14 prefecture-level cities in Xinjiang during 2008—2018. The results show that, tourism efficiency presents a wave rise, scale efficiency is higher than the comprehensive efficiency and pure technical efficiency, and the changing trend of scale efficiency is the same as that of comprehensive efficiency. The tourism focus has always been on the border between Yili and Bazhou in northern Xinjiang, showing a spatial pattern of high in the north and low in the south. During the study period, the migration trajectory of the center of gravity mainly changed from east to west. The tourism market in Xinjiang is oriented by tourism resources, and it is also affected by traffic location conditions and economic development level.
