Abstract: Taking the edible oil plants’ supply safety and the farmers’ income increase as the dual objectives, adopting the evidence of 342 households in Hubei main rapeseed producing area in 2013-2014, this paper will give a study on the Moderate land-scale operation of rapeseed based on such 3 household models of input-output, profit and cost. The result shows that: 1) the main impact factors are planting scale and total producing cost in rapeseed’ production and the farmers’ income while there is very weak impact of labor skills to rapeseed’ production and the farmers’ income. 2) Land is the most important element in rapeseed production and there are some impact on edible oil plants’ production and farmers’ income of land fragmentation and land transfer. 3)the moderate land-scale operation of rapeseed based on dual objectives may be [0.36,0.67)hm2 now.
