Abstract: Xiuzhan 15, a new high-quality conventional rice variety, was from the cross between E'feng 28 and Fengmeizhan, through 6 years of shuttle breeding in Xiantao and Hainan. In 2015, Xiuzhan 15 was tested in the regional trial of high-quality inbred rice in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It passed the production test in 2017 and preliminary examination in 2018 in Guangxi. Xiuzhan 15 had high and steady yield and good quality. It showed a highly significant yield increase of 9.68%, compared with CK in the regional trial of Guangxi. The rice quality reached the second-class of rice quality standard, with crystal clear grain, high milled rice rate and good commodity value. The cooked rice of this variety had a moderate hardness, good taste and palatability.
