Analysis of agricultural cooperation and strategy between China and Laos based on SWOT framework

Abstract: The in-depth study on agricultural cooperation between China and Laos could provide a theoretical basis for the long-term development of agricultural cooperation between the two countries and promote the realization of regional economic prosperity and development. Using the SWOT analysis method, from the perspective of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, this paper analyzed the important factors in China-Laos agricultural cooperation, such as resources, culture, environment, demand, policy and development system. Based on the above analysis, the paper put forward four strategies, the first was to expand the scale of Laos rice production and strengthen the construction of agriculture demonstration park, ensure the cooperation and support border rubber planting, the second was to build sustainable modern agricultural production management system, actively respond to Laos environmental protection demands, the third was to be preferred in relatively perfect infrastructure construction cooperation, promote cooperation and deepen cooperation in the areas the connotation, the fourth was to implement comprehensive agricultural cooperation projects as a whole, and encourage enterprises to make innovation cooperation mode.
