Effects of Fertilizer Formulations on Production of Flue-cured Tobacco under the Condition of Free Topdressing

Abstract: The field plot experiments were carried out to study the effects of fertilizer formulations on the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco under the condition of double-row concave ridge and free topdressing in Renhuai city, Guizhou province. The results showed that, the best economic indicators, internal quality and fertilizer reduction of the tobacco leaves were obtained by the treatment of N application rate 91.20 kg/hm2 and the ratio of N, P2O5 and K2O with 1.0∶0.7∶2.4. Compared with traditional single plastic mulching and two topdressing, production value of tobacco leaves of double-row concave ridge and free topdressing treatment increased by 11.0%, the average price increased by RMB 2.3 yuan/kg, and the total sugar, reducing sugar content increased by 19.9% and 16.9% respectively, furthermore, the nicotine levels and fertilizer rate fell by 14.6% and 9.9%.
