Abstract: At the present stage, the current situation of the irrational use of rural homestead has aroused widespread concern in the society and the academic circles. The study of homestead related research in the academic circles is contending, and the practice in various places is hot. After repeated demonstration and practice, it is found that the exit of the homestead is the "optimal solution" under the current system framework. Under the current rural homestead system, the transfer of homestead is limited, property attribute is suppressed, the homestead is unpaid, the waste is serious, the house site exit mechanism is difficult to establish and so on, which requires voluntary and compensable withdrawal from the homestead. Learn from Tianjin's "homestead exchange" mode, Chongqing "land ticket" mode and the practice of Zhejiang Yiwu sub regional protection of farmers' housing mode, put forward the problems existing in the process of homestead exiting and perfect the regulation and control path of the homestead exit mechanism, it will provide theoretical support and decision-making reference for the relevant departments to strengthen the management of homestead and the innovation of homestead system.
