Abstract: To establish a method for the determination of the TLC and content of Laggera alata with hesperidin as an indicator, and compare the content of hesperidin in Laggera alata from different areas of Guangxi. Hesperidin could be detected in TLC with clear spots and specificity. The injection volume of hesperidin showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.30~2.25 μg(R2=0.999 6). The average recovery of hesperidin in the low, middle and high addition group of Laggera alata was 99.60%(RSD=2.78%),99.97%(RSD=2.08%) and 99.01%(RSD=1.36%), respectively. The content of hesperidin in 10 batches of Laggera alata from 10 different habitats in Guangxi may be related to climate, temperature, soil, water and light. The method can effectively identify Laggera alata, accurately determine hesperidin content, and provide scientific basis for the development and utilization of resources of Laggera alata.
