Abstract: To make a deep insight of maize (Zea mays L.) heat response, the empty corn rate and setting rate for 80 collected from at home and abroad maize inbred lines were measured under the field natural high temperature conditions. The result revealed that there were variations of heat stress tolerance among different inbred lines, finally 1 inbred line with extreme heat tolerance and 9 inbred lines with moderate heat stress tolerance were screened out.

Key words: maize(Zea mays L.), germplasm, heat tolerance identification
