Superovulation effect of Yichang white goat

Abstract: Yichang white goats were selected to study the effects of different FSH dosages on superovulation. The results showed that the rate of synchronization estrus was 100% and the number of corpus luteum, collected embryo and effectiveembryo increased with the increment of FSH dosage. When injected 18 AU FSH per goat, the corpus luteum, collected embryos and effective embryos of 6-month-old goats was 18.60, 15.60 and 14.20, respectively while of the 12-month-old goats was 20.00, 16.25 and 14.00, respectively. And the superovulation effects had no significant difference between 6-month- and 12-month- goats. It suggested that the Yichang white goat could be treated superovulation at 6-month-old and the suitable FSH dosage of superovulation for 6- and 12-months old goat was 18 AU/head.
