Analysis of the correlation between the soaking time and the emergence rate of the seed of Ricinus communis L.

Abstract: The correlation between the soaking time and the emergence rate of the seed of Ricinus communis L. was investigated and studied. Results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between the different soaking time of Ricinus communis L. seeds and the total number and rate of emergence of seeds, but no significant correlation with other indexes. The quadratic curve regression equation and linear regression equation were used to analyze the different soaking time, the total number of seedlings, the total rate of emergence and the rate of no nest of Ricinus communis L. seeds. The results showed that the regression equation of the different soaking time and the total number of seedlings, the total rate of emergence and the rate of no nest of Ricinus communis L. seeds were all in accordance with the quadratic curve regression equation.
