Abstract: The reproductive trait of sows is one of the important economic traits of pigs, but due to its low heritability, the conventional selection of reproductive traits of sows has been slow.SANGER sequencing was used to detect the SNP locus in the DKK2,and the correlation analysis was performed with the litter size traits. The results showed that there was a new SNP locus in the second intron of the DKK2,which was named 8:g.114967878A>G,and the SNP locus was significantly related to the number of live births. The new SNP site 8:g.114967878A>G of DKK2 in pigs has effect on the number of live births.
