Impact of COVID-19 on Wuhan residents' willingness of rural homestead land transfer

Abstract: Stduy on residents' willingness of rural homestead land transfer can provide intellectual support to promote the pilot reform of the separation of “Theree Rights” in rural homestead land and furtherly to help realize rural revitalization strategy. This study employed regulatory focus theory to analyze the influence mechanism of COVID-19 on Wuhan residents' willingness of rural homestead land transfer. It compared Wuhan residents' willingness of rural homestead land transfer from Janauray 23rd to March 10th in 2020 with that in 2019,then the lag correlation analysis was conducted. The results showed that, Wuhan residents' willingness of rural homestead land transfer increased by 39.52 percent because of COVID-19. It had high positive correlation with the number of new confirmed cases, new deaths and cumulative deaths. The response of Wuhan residents' willingness of rural homestead land transfer to them lagged 13 or 14 days. Some suggestions were given to motivate Wuhan residents to transfer rural homestead land.
