Characteristic of antibiotics accumulation by zooplankton in Guizhou province plateau waters

Abstract

Abstract: Zooplankton were collected from Hongfeng lake, Baihua lake, Aha reservoir and Caohai wetland, antibiotics of zooplankton and water quality parameter were determined in order to understand characteristic of antibiotics accumulation by zooplankton in Guizhou province plateau waters. The results showed that the phytoplankton in Caohai wetland had a significant cumulative effect on the antibiotic sulfamethoxine, and the highest concentration was 5.07 ng/g. There were obvious seasonal differences in the concentration of antibiotics in zooplankton, which was mainly caused by the seasonal changes of zooplankton community. In addition, the enrichment of antibiotics in zooplankton was limited by the concentration of TN（total nitrogen）, TP（total phosphorus） and chlorophyll a in water, and there was a significant negative correlation between the concentration of antibiotics in zooplankton and the nutrient factors TN, TP and chlorophyll a, especially the concentration of the antibiotic erythromycin dehydrated in zooplankton.
