Study on the content determination and extraction technology of total flavonoids from Ranunculus brotherusii

Abstract: UV spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of total flavonoids of Ranunculus brotherusii, orthogonal design was used to optimize the extraction process, and the effects of the ratio of solid to liquid, extraction time, ethanol concentration and other factors on the extraction amount of total flavonoids were investigated. The results showed that the maximum amount of total flavonoids was obtained when ultrasonic extraction was conducted for 1.0 h with 70% ethanol and the ratio of material to liquid was 1∶55. This method is accurate, simple and easy to operate, which can be used as a basis for the quality evaluation of Ranunculus brotherusii.
