Research and prospect of rice blast resistance

Abstract

Abstract: Rice blast is one of the most serious diseases causing rice yield loss. To exploring, identifying and screening resistant germplasm resources in rice efficient use of resistant rice varieties to suppress the occurrence of rice blast, solve the obstacles of rice production and acquire blast resistance genes in resistant germplasm resources and their distribution,the research progress of rice blast resistance was reviewed from four aspects that identification of rice blast resistance genes, screening and utilization of resistance resources, inheritance of resistance and mapping of resistance genes. It provides a theoretical basis for the collection of rice blast resistance resources, selection and identification of blast resistance genes, and speeding up the breeding process of rice blast resistance.
