Optimization of extraction technology of total flavonoids from Chinese medicine Schisandra propinqua

Abstract: The total flavonoids of Schisandra propinqua were extracted by reflux extraction method. The effects of extraction method, extraction solvent volume fraction, extraction volume and extraction time on the total flavonoids content of the medicinal materials were investigated by single factor experiment. The orthogonal test was used to optimize the extraction conditions. The best extraction process for a total flavonoid of Schisandra propinqua was screened out. The results showed that the optimal extraction process of a total flavonoid of Schisandra propinqua was 70% methanol, the ratio of material to liquid was 1∶40(mV), and the reflux extraction time was 1.0 h. This method could effectively determine the content of total flavonoids in Schisandra propinqua medicinal material, the repeatability was good, the method was stable and feasible.
