Abstract: In order to objectively and accurately evaluate the adaptability of 11 peanut varieties planted in summer in northern Hubei, the agronomic traits, growth period, yield traits and quality traits were investigated, the adaptability was evaluated by principal component analysis. The results showed that, accumulated variance contribution of the top 6 factors reached 90.064%, based on this, an adaptive comprehensive evaluation model was constructed. The suitable summer planting in northern Hubei province with high comprehensive score was selected, including Zhonghua 16, Tianfu 22, Ningtai 9922, Zhonghua 215 and Xianghua 645. The cluster analysis of 11 varieties was divided into 3 groups, there were great differences in agronomic traits between groups, and the first group was basically consistent with the higher score of principal component analysis. Comprehensive results of principal component analysis and cluster analysis can make a more accurate evaluation. It is conducive to the variety introduction and selection.
