Abstract: In order to further optimize the regional distribution of vegetable production in Yunnan Province, the relevant data of vegetable production in Yunnan Province from 2000 to 2019 was analyzed and sorted out, and the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of the regional distribution of vegetable production in Yunnan Province was quantitatively calculated by using Herfindal Hirschman index method, spatial Gini coefficient and gravity center model. The results showed that from 2000 to 2019, there was a positive correlation between vegetable sowing area and yield in Yunnan Province, but vegetable sowing area increased faster than yield, and vegetable production was unevenly distributed among and within regions; the degree of spatial agglomeration of vegetable industry in Yunnan Province was high, which showed obvious characteristics of five stages in time; the focus of vegetable production in Yunnan Province was basically stable, and the main areas of vegetables moved from the perennial vegetable producing areas in central Yunnan to the southwest, and expanded to southern Yunnan at the same time. In order to promote the development of vegetable industry in Yunnan Province, it should pay attention to the layout planning of vegetable production, strengthen the construction of agricultural infrastructure in various vegetable producing areas, and strengthen the scientific and technological innovation of vegetable industry.
