Abstract: The panel data from 30 provinces in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Tibet Autonomous Region) from 2011 to 2022 was selected to empirically test the impact of agricultural supply chain finance on farmers' income increase and its mechanism of action. The study found that agricultural supply chain finance significantly promoted farmers' income increase; mechanism testing showed that farmers' professional cooperatives played an intermediary role in the process of agricultural supply chain finance promoting farmers' income increase; heterogeneity analysis indicated that the promotion effect of agricultural supply chain finance was more significant in major grain-producing areas and high-income areas; the analysis of the spatial Durbin model showed that agricultural supply chain finance and farmers' income increase presented a positive spatial spillover effect.
