Abstract: New urbanization plays an important role in China's economic transformation. As an important driving force in the demographic dividend for the reform and development of China, migrant workers provide a key labor support for the transformation of economic development mode. The Nanjing city migrant worker housing current situation was described and gave a review on the existing housing security policies of migrant workers. The problems and constraints of housing security of migrant workers were analysed in Nanjing in policies, implementation and management. Then, borrowing ideas from some effective measures and useful experience in other parts of our country, the thesis proposes some countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems of their housing security. It is further emphasized that the problem of housing security for migrant workers under the new urbanization is one the most important part of the urbanization of migrant workers.
