Abstract: Newborn piglets on a pig farm in Hubei province developed a disease with severe diarrhea, discharge of yellow feces and rapid dehydration death as the main symptoms. The disease materials submitted for inspection were identified through bacterial culture, gram staining, PCR and other methods to determine the newborn piglets. The disease is caused by infection with enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli. The results of the drug sensitivity test showed that the isolated strain was sensitive to quinolones, aminoglycosides, cephalosporins and other drugs; it was resistant to penicillins, tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, sulfonamides and ampicillin, florfenicol, tetracycline, doxycycline, sulfisoxazole, etc.
