Research review on community participation in rural tourism development

Abstract

Abstract: Community participation is an effective way to promote the development of rural tourism and improve the performance of tourism poverty alleviation. The article collects the literatures from both the Web of Science database and Chinese academic journal （CNKI）, with the CiteSpace as the research tools. The relevant research on the participation of rural communities in tourism development is sorted out and summarized from the number of papers, authors, research institutions, keywords, research content and other aspects. The findings are as follows,the academic attention to rural community participation in tourism development has been increasing at home and abroad, well-known research teams and institutions have been formed at home and abroad; As for rural community participation in tourism development, foreign countries mainly focus on the influencing factors of community participation in rural tourism development, residents' attitude and perception of rural tourism impact, the relationship between community participation and sustainability. Domestic researches are more about the mode of community participation in rural tourism, the distribution of interests, the relationship between community participation in rural tourism and tourism poverty alleviation, the existing problems and relevant countermeasures. On the basis of literature review, this paper puts forward the relevant prospects of future research direction.
