Abstract: Along with the advancement of poverty alleviation, the poverty problem in poor rural areas of Ankang has gradually been alleviated, but the current work needs to pay attention to the marriage and love of young males in poor rural areas. The difficulties in marriage are manifested in the fact that there are fewer young women who can be married, expensive marriages, and unstable marriages. This is because the gender ratio of the birth population has been high since the 1980s, and the rural population has one-way flow in the process of urbanization; and marriage has been too materialized and commoditized. Difficulties in rural male and young people in poverty-stricken areas will bring a series of negative effects, such as the emergence of a large number of single groups, the increase of rural poverty, the stability of rural society, the increase of poverty in rural areas and the impact of social ethics. To solve this special problem, the government should actively improve the local economic backwardness, guide the correct conception of mate selection, encourage rural youth to learn knowledge and skills, and improve the rural old-age security system to improve their competitiveness in marriage.
