Abstract: In a pig farm in Hong'an county, Hubei province, newborn piglets developed a disease characterized by severe diarrhea, discharge of yellow feces and rapid dehydration; after pathogen isolation, Gram staining, PCR identification, biochemical tests and serotype identification, E. coli infection in newborn piglets was determined. According to the serotype identification, the isolated strain belongs to the cilia antigen 987P type, and the strain is sensitive to ceftriaxone and cefotaxime.
