Breeding and Application of Photo-Thermo Sensitive Genic Male Sterile （PTGMS） Lines EK2S

Abstract

Abstract: Rice（Oryza sativa L.） EK2S is a new photo-thermo sensitive genic male sterile（PTGMS） lines selected from QFS156 and E′nong 1S by marker-assisted selection（MAS） and low-temperature pool pressure methods. The sterile line possesses the characteristics of low sterility starting point temperature,good plant type,high quality,and easy multiplication and hybrid seed production,and carries Pi1 and Pi2 resistant genes. The preliminary test crossing results showed that the derived combinations by it have high yield,high quality and good blast resistance. And some combinations are in different regional yield trials.
