Abstract: Taking Kuisu town in Balikun county as the research area, the operation of the land transfer cooperatives and the willingness of farmers to participate were analyzed through field surveys. The results show that the degree of participation of farmers who transfer land to professional cooperatives is not high, but their willingness to participate is relatively high. Compared with pure farmers, farming and business farmers have a greater possibility to participate in farmer professional cooperatives. Most farmers still depend on land for farming; and farmers have a strong sense of protection of their own interests when transferring land. The main reasons for farmers not participating in cooperatives include poor understanding of the joining procedures and the lack of cooperatives nearby. After participating in the cooperative, the family's annual income increased significantly.
